Delta Health Education Partnership
Computer Requirements

The DHEP Partnership has adopted the following policy as part of the acceptance requirements to the DHEP program, students are required to “have access to a computer and possess minimum capabilities for computer literacy”.

Computer Literacy is knowledge and understanding of the personal computer beyond word processing.  Essential skills for intermediate and advanced computer literacy include the ability to:

  1. install and configure common software
  2. regularly use a modem (or other connection to the Internet)
  3. access online resources
  4. send and receive messages via email – including attachments
  5. upload and download files with ease
  6. print from the computer

Students may purchase, share, lease or borrow the hardware and software necessary to fulfill this requirement.

The following are the preferred computer specifications (hardware, software, and Internet) that will facilitate progression and completion from the DHEP program.  Estimated cost of the recommended hardware and software is less than $2,500.
