The State Office of Rural Health Program develops innovative solutions for improving access to quality care in rural and inner city communities. The goals of the State Office of Rural Health are to: collect and disseminate information; coordinate rural health interests and activities; to provide technical assistance to attract more federal, state and foundation funding for rural health; and to work to increase the recruitment and retention of primary care physicians and mid-levels in the rural areas of Louisiana.
