WHAT IS DHEP? DHEP is a four-state consortium of schools/agencies which develops community-based educational programs. These programs are for family nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife and physician assistant students who reside in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Arkansas. DHEP is housed at the lead institution Arkansas State University. The other five educational partners are Alcorn Sate University, Louisiana State University Medical Center-Shreveport, Delta State University, Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing and University of Tennessee, Memphis. Health department partners provide assistance to DHEP are Arkansas Office of Rural Health and Tennessee Department of Health. |
