The study of role development
with an emphasis on role-making, intra-and interdisciplinary communication and strategies
for role implementation.
OBJECTIVES
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the
student will have had the opportunity to:

Analyze concepts, theories and
processes relative to role development for primary health care providers

Analyze the commonalities and differences in the functional roles of
primary health care providers

Compare and contrast the characteristics of different primary care
providers for practice philosophy, educational requirements, professional
structure, and regulatory requirements
